Witty. Funny. Inspiring. Relatable. These are some characteristics of a Facebook post that make us hit the like button, write something on the comment section, or share it in our timeline.
As 2015 comes to an end, let’s look back at Destiny’s 15 most viral Facebook posts: a combination of pictures, memes, and videos that have made us smile, laugh, think, shed a few tears, touched our hearts, and moved us to share them with our friends online.
15. The one from a Thai short film
Most of us were able to relate to this post about Lalin, a woman who constantly hides her face behind a mask and digitally edits her pictures so that people will “like” her. Somehow, her story is a reflection of our own feelings of fear, insecurity, and inadequacy. But Pastor Carlo Panlilio used this short film in his preaching “Exposed” to tell everyone that there is no reason to hide. Despite our flaws, there is a God who loves us unconditionally. LOOK: Lalin
14. The one about ‘moving on’
This 3-minute snippet of Pastor Carlo’s preaching about “Seizing Divine Moments” has made everyone who missed church that Sunday regret it (and move on shortly afterwards). In this video, Pastor Carlo asks, “What if you knew somewhere in front of you was a moment that could change your life forever?” This question compelled everyone to stop dwelling in their past regrets and focus instead on the things that are about to come. (Now that we are about to enter into a new year, why don’t you revisit this preaching’s podcast? ☺) WATCH: Moments of Regret
13. The one about a popular catchphrase
Yes, you heard it right. We changed “world” to “Word” in the then popular catchphrase, “Rock and Roll to the World” as a way of responding at church. This response went on at church for a couple of weeks. Probably it died down as the origin died down as well. You know, pop culture. LOOK: Rock and Roll to the WORD!
12. The one that talks about vision
This photo quote with a picture of a blindfolded person being pulled mercilessly in all directions proved to be a simple yet gripping illustration of what happens to a person without vision. As Proverbs 29:18 says “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” But part of this post’s appeal to people is the truth it says about people with vision: they are not easily swayed by people or circumstances. They stand strong. LOOK: Ang taong may vision…
11. The one that summarized a Destiny breakthrough
This video definitely gave everyone goosebumps. It shows some of the highlights of one of the biggest and most unforgettable gatherings of Destiny this year: the Destiny Network Conference: A New Beginning. Last August 22-23, around 10,000 people gathered in Cuneta Astrodome to claim the new beginning that God has prepared for them. If you missed this momentous event, make sure you join us next year! ☺ WATCH: Destiny Network Conference Highlights
10. The one friendly for tagging
For the first time, Destiny set apart one day of the conference especially for the youth! This album captures the best moments from the second day of the Destiny Network Conference, and gives evidence to the fact that this was the best conference so far! In 2016, we are sure it’s going to get even better. ☺ LOOK: Destiny Network Conference Album – Day 2
9. The one about what Jesus sees in you
No wonder why this post made it to the top 15 most viral. If you have ever doubted yourself, felt like a mistake, or had already given up, reading this message will definitely change how you see yourself. Despite what you’ve done or what you are going through right now, there is a God who continues to believe in the best of you. WATCH: When Jesus looks at you…
8. The one that is a ‘pabebe’ spin-off
Of course, everyone knows this line from the viral video of “Pabebe Girls”. But in this picture, “Pastorita” Ysah Viray, one of our amazing youth speakers in the Network Conference, uses this catchphrase to empower the youth to be unstoppable in their faith and love for Jesus! #pabebeforJesus LOOK: Walang makakapigil sa’ tin!
