If there was a treasure trove of insights, Destiny Church Manila definitely has no shortage of them! As 2015 draws to a close, let’s take the time to look back at the series we had at Destiny Manila. Here are some of the insights worth carrying on to a greater 2016:
Life is about unfolding destinies!
We all hear this: life is not a mistake and God has a destiny for each and every one of us! But as valuable as our destiny is our preparation for its unfolding. It is impossible to get hold of the vision if we keep on holding on to our past – past regrets, past failures, and even past victories. Life is about honing the potential that is within us, allowing God to shape us along the process. It is about positioning ourselves to right launching pads to our destinies and being able to know when our time has come. Just like a mom giving birth to a child, birthing our destiny takes time but at the end of our toil and labor, we can surely say, “Hey, it’s all worth it!”
Life’s supreme goal is to love.
We like the thought of love – to be in love and to fall in love. But due to bring unprepared, it only results to heartbreaks and heartaches. That is why we need to be equipped in handling relationships. This kind of relationship is more than just the romantic variety between opposite sexes; it’s about unselfishly loving others with God’s kind of love.
Now, as we enter 2016, is your heart right and ready for love?
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23
To live life to the fullest, you need a vision.
Vision has a vital role in achieving life’s purpose. Yet, some of us have no strong sense of what we want to achieve as fear, pain, rejections and past failures hold us back. Some of us have started believing that we will never change or be successful. But no matter how we see ourselves today, God sees the change that can happen in our life. He sees what we can become.
“When your vision is honestly birthed by God Himself, He will be delighted to direct your steps.” – Kris Valloton, The Power of Vision
Life is a series of levelling up and crossing over.
Nobody wants to stay on the same level for the rest of his life. Each and every one of us has the desire deep in our hearts to be promoted, to step up to the next level. But fear paralyzes us from levelling up. The story of Joshua reminds us that we are not alone in crossing over; God will always intervene to make us strong and courageous. If you want to grow and be promoted in 2016, trust God and build a solid connection with Him. For the level of our crossover depends on how we pursue our vision and on our relationship with God.

Life is best lived together.
While we may sometimes cherish our times alone, life is best lived when we have people to celebrate it with! Community is one of God’s greatest blessings. There is a family of believers ready to accept us as we are and help us grow in love towards one another. The Lord desires that His church build and celebrate life together, strengthen and encourage one another. We cannot do it alone, so thank God for the Church and our lifegroup mates! This coming year, let us all the more commit to doing life together!
